12 hours later we arrive in Paris. Somehow it felt like we were only on the coach for about 4 hours due to massive amounts of really uncomfortable sleeping! (even on the back row with SO much space!) Somehow i ended up as the tour guide, and successfully managed to get everyone to the beautiful Sacre Coeur.
This is my absolute favourite place in Paris. I LOVED it when i came in November...was also SO much sunnier back then! We had rain this time..but was still equally as beautiful. I love the peacefulness inside. I have to come back and watch a service taking place...i can imagine it being truly magical. Such a shame about the freezing weather...but this didn't dampen our spirits! We then went round all the artists and in true parisian style...got a nutella crepe. YUM.
I love the streets around the Sacre Coeur SO much. They have so much history. Plus one of my rules in life is to ALWAYS look up wherever i go. You find amazing archetecture...and here i found some beautiful buildings.
We saw a lot of these streets on our massive mission to find the Moulin Rouge. Kirsty 'apparently' knew the way...she was definitely lying :P we found it in the end..along with a gazzilion sex shops including the sexodrome which provided a lot of 'banter' (kirsty and Rachel's word of the week!)...but anyways..
Moulin Rouge..dissapointment..kind of...not quite Nicole Kidman Hollywood version!! But definitely worth a visit. We ate literallllly opposite the not so stunning Moulin Rouge...after walking around the backstreets for about an hour and a half and ended up with a really expensive and really cheesy toasty thing.
Knackered by this point? Yes. Bedtime was definitely needed at this point and so i managed to navigate us home :)
